The residents of the small, historic village of Fyvie in north-east Aberdeenshire held a 3-day festival in the village from 29-31st August 2014 to celebrate the Year of Homecoming.

As in 2009, the Festival included a programme of activities and entertainment, with a strong emphasis on music and culture, and attracted not just those with links to the village (no matter how tenuous!) but expatriate Scots from all corners of the globe as well as others who either know and love Scotland or who wanted to visit for the first time and sample Scottish hospitality at its best.
